All teaching activities will be held in Croatian. However, foreign students in mixed groups will have the opportunity to attend additional office hours with the lecturer and teaching assistants in English to help master the course materials. Additionally, the lecturer will refer foreign students to the corresponding literature in English, as well as give them the possibility of taking the associated exams in English.

Description:
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the history and culture of the Croatian countryside from the Middle Ages to the modern era. In addition, the course includes the study of historiography and various scientific approaches to the analysis of rural life.
Learning outcomes:
  1. - lead discussions on the development of the Croatian countryside in the context of Croatian culture
    - become familiar with historical, cultural and social processes in the Croatian countryside
    - analyze historical sources for the study of villages
    - understand the history and culture of villages as an interdisciplinary field of study
    - demonstrate the use of professional terminology, interdisciplinary research tools and methodological principles of historical and Croatological science
