In agreement with the students enrolled in the course, the lecturer will provide as many teaching elements in English as possible, or in both English and Croatian for mixed groups (i.e., bilingual teaching materials and bilingual exams). Level 2 also includes additional individual consultations with foreign students (as in Level 1) for the teaching elements which will be held in Croatian.

Description:
This course covers the beginnings of Roman literature, from the oldest inscriptions to the beginning of the Classical period in the 1st century BC. It also discusses its relations with Ancient Greek literature, the genres and characteristics of literary works in the introductory and the archaic period, and, through preserved fragments, provides an overview of the most important authors.
